Privacy notice.
What this website collects, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. Written to be read.
Who we are
AI Motion (working name) is based in Bristol and is the data controller for this website. Contact us about anything in this notice at hello@example.com.
The short version
- This site sets no cookies and has no advertising trackers.
- We count visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and doesn’t identify you.
- Your answers to the readiness check stay in your browser. We never receive them.
- The website check reads the address you enter and stores nothing afterwards.
- If you contact us, we keep what you send us to reply and to work with you.
What we collect, and why
When you contact us. Through the contact form, by email or by asking for your check results by email. Your name, contact details and whatever you tell us. We use it to reply and, if you go ahead, to provide our services. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before a contract, or our legitimate interest in answering enquiries. We keep enquiries for two years after we last speak, and client records for six years after work ends, as tax rules require.
The AI readiness check. Runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you answer is sent to us.
The website check. We fetch the page whose address you enter, along with its robots.txt, sitemap and llms.txt, to produce your report. We also ask Google PageSpeed Insights to measure the page, so Google receives the address. We don’t store the address or the report.
The demo’s “Try your own text”. When switched on, the text you paste is sent to our AI provider (Google Gemini or Anthropic Claude) for that one run, and we don’t store or log it. We use business terms that don’t allow the provider to train on it; providers may keep it for a short time to check for abuse. Please don’t paste personal information.
Visit counts and page speed. Vercel Web Analytics counts page views and Vercel Speed Insights measures how fast pages load. Neither sets cookies or stores anything on your device, and neither identifies you. We remove anything after the “?” in page addresses before it’s counted.
Server logs. Our hosting provider, Vercel, records technical details of each request, including IP addresses, to keep the site running and secure. These logs are kept for a short period.
Your browser’s storage. If you choose what kind of business you run, the site remembers that choice in your browser’s local storage so pages can adapt. It isn’t sent to us, and you can clear it at any time in your browser settings.
Who else handles your data
- Vercel, which hosts this website.
- Our email provider and email delivery service, for messages you send us.
- Our customer records system, for enquiries about our services.
- Google, for PageSpeed measurements in the website check.
- Google or Anthropic, only for text you choose to send in the demo.
Some of these providers process data outside the UK. Where they do, the transfer is covered by the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK addendum to the EU standard contractual clauses, or a UK adequacy decision.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, or ask us to correct it, delete it, limit how we use it, stop using it, or send it to someone else. Email hello@example.com and we’ll respond within one month.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We’d appreciate the chance to put it right first.
Changes
We’ll update this notice when the website changes what it collects. Last updated October 2026.
